TheWickerman Festival advertises itself as a
"celebration of cult and off the wall music that climaxes in the burning of a giant willow and straw effigy!
Eclectic is the word and for lovers of contemporary music -
the Wickerman will once again prove that Scotland can lay it on anywhere –
a heady brew of wickery shenanigans!"
It's held at East Kirkcarswell, near Dundrennan, South West Scotland

The Wickerman festival has two main stages, a world music and funk tent, eden zone, a classic Jamaican reggae sound system, acoustic village, scooter tent, children’s area, workshops, beer tent, crafts, camping and an amazing 30 foot Wickerman who is sacrificed to the festival gods on the Saturday night! The Wickerman Festival supports several charities which are:
The Tusk Trust which is the UK's leading African wildlife conservation and development charity
The First Base Agency - an information, advice and support centre about drugs, alcohol and gambling. Crew 2000 - a drugs information charity providing straightforward and non-judgemental information, advice and support
